The Presbytery of Milwaukee seeks a full-time Interim Congregational Care Coordinator to succeed its retiring coordinator. The Congregational Care Coordinator's primary function is to provide staff oversight for and coordinate the work of the Commission on Ministry (COM), and Committee on Preparation for Ministry (CPM). The successful candidate will operate from a spiritual foundation, be a strong team player with a creative collaborative working style and honor confidentiality. Harvard First Presbyterian Church is looking to fill a part time paid position.  We are looking for an organist/keyboard player. Fox Valley Presbyterian Church in Geneva, Illinois, is seeking an Interim Pastor of Children and Youth (Interim Director of Children and Youth Programming.)  Our church is an inclusive family of loving servants and faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.  We offer a dynamic array of learning, mission, and fellowship opportunities for more than 200 children and youth ages 3-18.  The position is open immediately and the interim term is expected to last 1-2 years.  

The Interim Pastor of Children and Youth (Interim Director of Children and Youth Programming) will be asked to lead high school and middle school youth group meetings and activities, coordinate and teach Bible Basics and Confirmation classes to middle schoolers, oversee children’s Sunday School programming and visit classes, work with the committees on Children, Middle School and High School ministry, and participate in special events in the life of the church.  Some travel and Saturday and overnight work will be required while supervising youth mission work.

A successful candidate will bring a love of God and passion for sharing that with children and youth.  Experience working with or teaching children and youth is preferred.  We are seeking candidates who are professional, approachable, and relatable leaders; quick learners; and who possess a strong faith aligned with the reformed tradition.

 Olivet Presbyterian Church of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is seeking a part-time (~18 hours per week) Pastor. Olivet is a Church in Mission to the greater Cedar Rapids community.

 Our ideal Pastor will be able to:

 

·         Encourage the Olivet congregation in the worship and service of God; to equip and enable them for their tasks within the church and their mission to the world.

·         Minister to the spiritual needs of the people by increasing the awareness of the power, presence, and purpose of God.

Director of Community Life Community Presbyterian Church, Lombard

This is a new position created to provide management and coordination of Community Presbyterian Church (CPC) staff and boards thereby strengthening CPC’s community outreach, church leadership development, and connection of new members into the active life of the church, and communication with existing members. We have been a 200+ membership church for many years and discern that we may be at an inflection point for growth. We are adding new members and taking on new projects. Our mission statement is “Reach People for Christ, Grow People in Christ, Send People with Christ.”

 

This is a full-time position. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience. Salary includes professional/educational and auto allowances as well as paid vacation. Attendance at weekly staff meetings and participation in Sunday and special services are required.

 

The position reports to the Senior Pastor and will be the direct supervisor of other staff.

 

Responsibilities will include developing small groups, working with young adults, connecting new members, working on community outreach and developing leadership among lay personnel and staff.

 

The preferred candidate must be mature in their own Christian faith. He/she needs to be able to understand our vision and help transmit it to others. He/she will have excellent administrative skills to assist in oversight and execution of our ministry programming. This includes but is not limited to an ability to focus and follow up on the development/implementation of staff goals, current and new missions, and programs to develop spirituality in the church membership. This candidate must be comfortable with communications and media savvy. He/she must have the ability to understand budgets and the ability to work well on a team.

 

The preferred candidate must be able to relate to congregation members of varying ages, theological backgrounds and stages of faith development. They need to have a respect for tradition (traditional service) and a willingness to embrace new ideas and concepts (contemporary service) as we reach out into our surrounding community to fulfill the great commission.

 

The ideal candidate will have a background in the Church or an Educational field. An educational degree in Christian/Family Ministry/Education is preferred. A combination of other educational backgrounds, previous employment and/or life experiences will be considered. A record of continuing education, self-development and sense of humor are a plus.
