Rev. Japson Mbae, Moderator of Imenti Central Presbytery, Kenya brought greetings from our partner presbyteries in Kenya.
The learning opportunity at this presbytery meeting focused on preparation for voting on Proposed Amendments to the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (USA)--Part 2: The Belhar Confession and Part 3: Amendments to the Book of Order 10-I through 10-O.
Presbyters present voted to adopt the Belhar Confession and Amendments to the Book of Order 10-I through 10-O. Amendments to Blackhawk Presbytery''s bylaws were also adopted. Certified lay pastor Gretchen Hammeke was commissioned to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rockford.
