Blackhawk Presbytery's Resource Center houses a basic collection of print and media resources for pastors, lay leaders, and members of our congregations. These are available for loan free of charge. You may pick up materials or we will ship them to you at our expense.
We can also help you identify helpful materials in a variety of formats, as well as web sites and conferences.
Need a projector that works with our computer, DVD player, or VCR? Or a projector for overhead transparencies? You can borrow these from the Resource Center. There is a $40 deposit, which is returned to you when the projector is returned, and a $10 fee that goes toward the purchase of replacement bulbs. The projectors are in demand, so please make an advance reservation.
We welcome opportunities to meet with individuals and groups, either at the Resource Center or at your church.
The Resource Center is located in Brubaker Center at Stronghold Camp & Conference Center, 1922 N. IL Rt. #2, Oregon, Illinois. The Resource Center is open for self-service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and at any other time when groups are using Brubaker Center. Staff are normally available for assistance on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
