“This training is lively and highly interactive, full of reflection and conversation—and even laughter. Attendees have given us the feedback that our boundaries training was a great experience AND caused them to re-evaluate some of their own practices.”

Blackhawk Presbytery Resources:
* BOUNDARY TRAINING POLICY: "Boundary training is required for all people in pastoral ministry* and shall be taken at the earliest opportunity when one first enters the Presbytery. Renewal of that training shall be required every three years."  (Training is required every three years for Ministers of Word and Sacrament, Commissioned Pastors, Interim and Temporary Supply Pastors, and all Pastors serving Blackhawk churches, whether as pulpit supply or members of other denominations. Honorably Retired members and Members at Large do not need to complete boundary training unless they are active in the life of a congregation.) Contact the COM Moderator or Presbytery office to learn of training opportunities.
* Blackhawk Presbytery has established a Fund for Ordination Scholarships for persons in the candidacy phase. This Fund also offers Education Debt Relief for pastors called into Blackhawk Presbytery. See the details and application.
Presbytery requirements state the AC must have at least six members, evenly divided between teaching elders and ruling elders, each from a different church and at least one ecumenical member.  After the minimum is met, additional people may be asked to participate.
